Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking a mechanical engineering patent agent or technical advisor to join its Patents team. The ideal candidate will have 2 - 5 years of patent prosecution experience and a strong background in Mechanical Engineering, with location flexibility across all US offices.
Key Requirements- Mechanical Engineering degree (or equivalent).
- Two to five years of patent prosecution experience.
- Registered with the United States Patent Trademark Office (USPTO) or qualified to register for the USPTO.
- Strong experience with automotive control systems, oil & gas tools, or medical devices.
- Excellent academic credentials with strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
This position may be based in any of our US offices (Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, San Antonio, San Francisco, St.Louis, or Washington, DC). Applicants should indicate their office(s) of interest in their application.
Salary & BenefitsThe full‑time base annual salary for this position in the New York City, Denver, Los Angeles, and San Francisco market is expected to range between $120,000 - $175,000. This range represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting for a position in these markets. Salaries in other markets will vary depending on market data.
Bonus opportunities are non‑guaranteed and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
