We are looking to hire a
Instrument Man
for our growing Geospatial Group in St. Louis, MO.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assign specific tasks to crew members.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and clients.
  • Organize and plan survey logistics .
  • Act as the primary point of contact.
  • Assist Survey Crew Chiefs and Project Surveyors in performing field survey operations.
  • Set up, operate , and maintain survey equipment including GPS receivers, total stations, levels, and data collectors.
  • Assist with construction staking, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and as-built surveys.
  • Help establish and recover survey control points and benchmarks.
  • Verify measurements and assist in quality checks of collected data.
  • Maintain survey equipment and report equipment issues to supervisors.
  • Learn surveying standards, practices, and technology through field experience and mentorship.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support survey operations .
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Surveying , Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Geomatics, Geospatial Sciences, or a related field is a plus;
    Or 3-5 years of applicable experience is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of surveying principles and field measurement techniques.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS software, or survey data collection systems is a plus.
  • Ability to learn and operate survey equipment including GPS, robotic total stations, and digital levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop professionally.
