Position Summary
Jost Chemical is seeking a talented VDC Technician to join our Engineering team in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preparing and maintaining detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and design documentation that support facility operations, capital projects, and infrastructure improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed technical drawings and 3D models for structural, process utility, piping, electrical, and facility-related systems.
- Develop construction drawings from engineering specifications, sketches, and field data.
- Review and interpret project specifications and standards.
- Perform field investigations and gather measurements for as-built documentation.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and technical staff.
- Maintain CAD drawing files and document control systems.
- Implement drawing revisions and support facility upgrades.
- Support National CAD Standards and company drafting standards.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in CAD Technology or related field.
- Three or more years of industry-related drafting/design experience.
- Experience creating andmaintaining3D models.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills .
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform field investigations within a chemical manufacturing facility, work at a computer workstation for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.
