Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer at Millipore Sigma, you will design, implement, and support electrical and control systems for biopharmaceutical manufacturing and life science research facilities. You will develop schematics, specify components, and support commissioning of power distribution, instrumentation, and automation systems to ensure safe, reliable operation in a highly regulated environment. Collaborating with process engineering, maintenance, and QA, you will drive root cause analysis, implement improvements, and maintain GMP-compliant documentation, contributing directly to safe, innovative tools that advance global health.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify electrical and control systems for biotech and pharmaceutical equipment and facilities
• Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and bills of materials using CAD tools
• Specify and integrate PLCs, instrumentation, and automation components to meet process requirements
• Support commissioning, startup, and qualification of electrical and control systems in GMP environments
• Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and GMP/quality requirements
• Collaborate with process engineering, maintenance, and QA to optimize equipment performance
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, drawings, and change records
