- Lead global fastening tooling and standards for Ford North America Final Assembly manufacturing facilities
- Lead program-specific fastening projects and strategy from development through sourcing and Purchase Order issuance
- Execute fastening strategy with North American Final Assembly plants through delivery and implementation
- Define, maintain, and update fastening tooling standards
- Develop and align program costing
- Investigate, develop, and vet new fastening technologies and vendors
- Develop Global Manufacturing Fastening Standards, procedures, standard cells, gap strategies, standard costing, the DC Tooling CAD Library in Teamcenter, and GVOSS updates
- Collaborate cross-functionally on PAC papers and Stop Ships to improve manufacturing standards and reduce warranty costs
- Support development and implementation of Wireless Technology, Toolsnet 8, and Pulse Tool Technology
- Implement torque strategies and angle-monitoring limits during launch phases
- Support Toolsnet 8 implementation to support angle monitoring and reduce FSAs
- Drive cost studies for residual torque equipment, torque test benches, TISS, TPPS, and Tool Tracker
- Lead online and offline repair strategies involving wireless tooling reporting to the Quality Operating System
- Collaborate with Launch Engineers to implement handheld DC tools in plants
- Support Upperbody and Underbody Tooling Team on Ford-to-Furnish tooling orders
- Lead third-party quality auditors in annual North American plant audits for adherence to fastening procedures, torque routes, TISS reports, preventive maintenance, TCNs, and torque-related alerts
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Self-motivated, organized, hands-on, and collaborative individual
- Willingness to work outside existing comfort zones
- Strong interpersonal skills, presentation, and communication ability
- Fastening foundation with the ability to both learn and teach
- Ability to travel and interface with North American Manufacturing Plants
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge and experience with fastening equipment, assembly equipment, or joint design strategy (preferred)
- Experience with Ford Tooling Suppliers — Atlas Copco, Stanley, Ingersoll Rand, Estic, etc. (preferred)
- Experience working with cradle-to-grave tooling development (preferred)
- Experience implementing or auditing manufacturing requirements, standards, and procedures (preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once with great attention to detail (preferred)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
