Our client, a leader in the commercial real estate and life sciences industry, is seeking a dedicated Operating Engineer to join their team. As an Operating Engineer
, you will be part of the engineering department supporting a dynamic team in maintaining a state-of-the-art facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Operating Engineer
Location:St. Louis, MO
Pay Range: $35-$40/hr.
- Lead the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems within a large, Class A office and life science building.
- Complete tasks such as painting, pressure washing, lighting maintenance, plumbing, HVAC system upkeep, water treatment, locksmith work, and general building maintenance.
- Assist in supervising and implementing preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal building performance.
- Maintain accurate work order records using the CMMS system and address tenant service requests promptly.
- Support emergency response efforts and participate in ongoing technical and safety training programs to uphold safety standards.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
- Trade school education, union training, military service, or college background is desirable.
- Universal EPA certification.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
