Are you a Technical Writer with a knack for turning complex engineering information into organized, user-friendly documentation? Do you have some exposure to electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, controls, or industrial equipment?
We are seeking a Technical Writer to support a growing Automation Engineering team. This is an outstanding opportunity to work directly with experienced engineers, gain exposure to innovative automation projects, and play a critical role in keeping engineering documentation accurate and organized.

What You'll Be Doing- Partner with engineers to document automation and controls projects.
- Capture critical technical information throughout project execution.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, work orders, and project records.
- Organize technical data to support engineering, production, and service teams.
- Review electrical schematics, wiring documentation, and project information for accuracy.
- Follow projects from start to finish while ensuring documentation remains complete and organized.
- Support documentation related to customer inquiries, project updates, and production activities.
- Experience in Technical Writing, Engineering Documentation, or similar technical support roles.
- Ability to understand and interpret technical information.
- Basic familiarity with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, controls, or control panels.
- Strong written communication and organizational skills.
- Experience working with engineers, technicians, manufacturing teams, or industrial environments is highly preferred.
- Former Electrical Technicians, Controls Technicians, Engineering Coordinators, and Technical Writers are encouraged to apply.
This is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
