About the Position:

The front desk sales associate is a vital position at Scenthound requiring exceptional customer service, sales and organizational skills. Also includes cross-training in other positions within the dog wellness business.

This position requires:

• A passion for dogs and dog health & wellness
• Some experience working with dogs
• Customer service experience (retail, restaurant, gym)
• Sales experience and confidence (membership sales are highly valued!)
• Strength to lift up to 70 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods of time
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment
• Experience Preferred

Who We Are Looking For:

We are searching for a confident multi-tasker who leads with integrity, honesty, and compassion. Is a problem solver, adaptable, detail-oriented, and compassionate dog lover! We are looking for a HANDS-ON leader who can assist in the day-to-day operations of the Scenter with an emphasis on critical KPIs:
Average Ticket Value, Rebook Ratio, New Memberships, etc.

Tasks:

• Answer phone calls, schedule customer appointments, manage customer profiles and records
• Manage customer expectations;
  Resolve customer concerns;
  Retain memberships
• Drive membership sales through health and wellness education
• Prioritize the safety of dogs and team members at all times
• Uphold quality standards through hands-on participation and training
• Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices – keep the reception area clean and presentable
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Scenter Manager
• Identify when/ where help is needed and provide assistance to keep Scenter on schedule
• Assist in the creation of an environment conducive to teamwork, open communication, and Scenthound values
• Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices
• Cross-Train in other positions such as dog care and bathing

Skills and Abilities:

• Effective communication with team members and dog parents (in person and on the phone)
• Ability to connect with customers (both canine and human!) and provide outstanding customer service
• Ability to learn our products and services to educate the dog parents; speak to our values and culture as the basis for our services
• Problem-solving - Independently solve problems using Scenthound values and culture as a guide
• Attention to detail
• Time-management – ability to make an efficient schedule
• Computer/ technology proficiency
• Confidence in selling services and products
• Accountability; hold oneself and others to Scenthound standards

Compensation: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
