Overview:

KMOX Radio, the legendary Voice of St. Louis, is looking for a modern, creative and digitally savvy Executive Producer to help take The Chris & Amy Show to the next level. We're looking for someone who understands that a great show can live far beyond the radio clock — on You Tube, social media, podcasts, video, digital platforms and wherever St.

Louis audiences consume content. The Executive Producer will oversee the show's daily content strategy, preparation and execution while helping expand The Chris & Amy Show into a multi-platform St. Louis media brand. You'll work closely with Chris and Amy to develop ideas, create compelling conversations, find great guests and stories, and turn the best moments from the show into content that can reach new audiences.

You should have a great ear for radio — but you should also have a great eye for content.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Develop the daily content strategy and show rundown with Chris and Amy.
  • Identify the stories, conversations and personalities that will drive the show.
  • Create original features, recurring benchmarks, games, bits and listener-driven content.
  • Research for interviews, conversations and major topics.
  • Constantly look for ways to make the show more entertaining, surprising, relevant and local.
  • Running a live radio board and executing a show in real time.
  • Understanding clocks, formats, commercial breaks and station logs.
  • Editing and producing audio quickly and cleanly.
  • Booking and preparing guests.
  • Writing compelling intros, teases, promos and digital copy.
  • Managing live callers, interviews and breaking content.
  • Working with newsroom, traffic, weather and other station resources.
  • Making quick decisions when the show doesn't go according to plan.
Qualifications

More

About You:

Required & Preferred:

But you also need to think beyond radio.

We're looking for someone who understands that the best moments on The Chris & Amy Show shouldn't end when the microphone is turned off.

You should be able to identify an on-air conversation and immediately see its potential as:

  • A You Tube video.
  • A short-form video.
  • A podcast segment.
  • A social clip.
  • A behind-the-scenes piece.
  • A digital-only conversation.
  • A community or live event opportunity.

The goal is not simply to produce a better radio show. The goal is to build a bigger Chris & Amy audience — on the radio and everywhere else people consume content.

Expand the show beyond radio
  • Develop a daily content strategy that extends the show across You Tube, video, social media, podcasts and digital platforms.
  • Identify moments during the live show that have the potential to become compelling digital content.
  • Think proactively about content that should be created specifically for digital audiences.
  • Develop short-form video, social clips, interviews, behind-the-scenes content and other original digital features.
