Financial Controller

One of the fastest growing real estate companies in St. Louis and is adding a Controller to their team. This hybrid Controller opportunity in St. Louis offers strong visibility and leadership within the organization. The Controller will play a key role in supporting continued growth across the St. Louis portfolio.

• Direct the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for commercial and residential properties
• Lead and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash activity, escrow tracking, and tenant invoicing
• Own the annual budget process and ongoing forecasting, including capital planning and detailed variance reporting
• Monitor and ensure compliance with all real estate related tax matters, including property tax, sales and use tax, and required annual filings
• Oversee the full month end and year end close cycle to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Establish and strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial policies
• Collaborate with property management and executive leadership to deliver financial analysis and operational guidance

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
• 8+ years of accounting experience with at least 5+ years focused on real estate accounting
• Strong understanding of commercial and residential real estate accounting practices
• Proficiency in Yardi is required
• Proven leadership experience in an accounting environment
