The Deposit Operations Specialist is responsible for performing daily deposit operations tasks, including account verification, exception processing, and client support. This role works under direct supervision to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of transactions while providing professional assistance to internal clients.
What We're Looking For- Process daily requests for documentation, account verifications, item exception handling, and deposit inquiries.
- Review and mail EIM notices.
- Process foreign items and review signatures for in-clearing items.
- Process, research, and resolve mobile deposit issues and ICs shadow account requests.
- Complete daily reconcilements, including ATM balancing and report reviews.
- Provide internal client support via email and phone for system or transaction inquiries.
- Support all debit card functions, including card orders and issue resolution.
- Process transactions for Stifel Cash Management Accounts, settlements, and exception resolution.
- Participate in cross-training and assist with departmental projects as needed.
- Understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements (CRA, BSA, FCRA).
- Strong attention to detail with ability to research and resolve account issues accurately.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for internal client support.
- Ability to learn banking systems quickly.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities.
- Minimum
Required:
High School degree or equivalent experience. - Minimum Preferred: 1+ years of experience in a financial institution.
