Senior Payroll Specialist

Our Kforce client, a growing wealth management firm in Saint Louis (MO), is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage all aspects of financial advisor payroll, with a focus on strategic planning, compliance, and process improvement. This role requires advanced accounting knowledge, strong analytical skills, and experience with compensation strategies.

• Lead monthly payroll for financial advisors, ensuring accurate commission and bonus payments.
• Design and implement process improvements and automation.
• Serve as liaison for advisor compensation matters.
• Conduct audits and risk assessments.
• Analyze compensation trends and prepare reports.
• Manage complex commission scenarios (buyouts, recoveries, transitions).
• Mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or 11+ years equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of payroll experience with commission-based compensation (securities industry preferred).
• Project management experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Advanced MS Office and payroll systems (ADP preferred).
• Strong accounting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
