Job Title: Relationship Banker (I-III)

Reports To: Retail Sales Manager/Branch Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Pay Grade: 6-8

CSI NuPoint: Inexperienced to Experienced Banker/Teller

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Summary

Provides superior client service and maintains high relationship selling results through finding information and solutions in a timely, friendly and accurate manner, offering new and current products to clients and prospects, while opening new accounts, and handling teller transactions, all in accordance with Bank policies and procedures. This position is located at our University City branch.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintains high relationship selling results.
  • Understands products thoroughly in order to introduce and sell new and current products to clients and prospects.
  • Opens/closes checking, savings, certificate of deposit, and IRA Accounts with less than 3 errors per month (verified through Quality Control).
  • Meets sales goals for minimum of 6 continuous months.
  • Supports and backs-up other employees.
  • Opens door or stands to greet clients and guests in a warm and outgoing manner as they enter the Bank. Escorts clients to the door following interaction. Provides superior client service at all times.
  • Completes all Teller duties, including but not limited to, making deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks and receiving loan payments.
  • Makes good judgment calls on client issues.
  • Possesses general understanding of products in order to introduce and sell new and current products to clients and prospects.
  • Answers the phone and handles client inquiries.
  • Seeks new prospects and follows-up with them via outbound calls, mail, or email.
  • Logs all client calls and interactions through the use of Bank software.
  • Contributes to Bank by learning the individual goals and expectations established and how they relate to the incentive plan and overall company success.
  • Meets performance goals.
  • Completes assigned Sales Training and Compliance Testing.
  • Participates in departmental meetings including accepting assignments for presentations at such meetings.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to dress code.
  • Reports to work punctually as scheduled.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Submits reports to Manager on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Functions as Vault Teller
  • Replenishes and balances branch ATM (not serviced by Dunbar)
  • Notary Public
  • May float to other branches as needed for coverage
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year Banking experience
  • Client service experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Basic PC skills-MS Office (Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Flexible, team player, self-starter
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Client service phone experience
