Senior Accounting Analyst

Kforce's client, a growing, fast-paced organization in Saint Louis, MO, is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to support month-end close, financial reporting, and business performance analysis. This role partners closely with leadership to deliver insights, improve processes, and ensure accuracy across financial operations. Key Responsibilities:

* Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries and financial reporting

* Prepare and analyze commissions for sales teams

* Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure data accuracy

* Partner with business leaders to analyze performance vs. plan and provide actionable insights

* Support integration of newly acquired entities into financial systems and processes

* Research and respond to management inquiries related to financial results

* Analyze and report on financial adjustments/addbacks

* Ensure proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards

* Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to requests

* Identify and drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives

* Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)

* 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience

* Strong understanding of month-end close and financial reporting processes

* Experience with revenue or balance sheet reconciliations preferred

* Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office

* ERP experience required (Net Suite or similar preferred)

* Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

* Strong communication skills
