Location: St. Louis

A Mortgage Clerk provides routine administrative support and plays a role in the processing and documentation of mortgage loans.

Responsibilities
  • Reviews loan applications and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with lending guidelines.
  • Verifies borrower information, such as employment history, income, credit reports, and property details.
  • Coordinates with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and other parties to gather additional information or resolve issues.
  • Assists in the preparation of loan documents, including disclosures, promissory notes, and closing documents.
  • Ensures all required documentation is obtained and properly executed by borrowers and other parties.
  • Inputs borrower information into loan processing systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicates with borrowers and stakeholders to provide updates on loan status and address questions.
  • Maintains accurate and organized loan files, documenting all communications and actions.
  • Assists in reviewing loan files for compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Performs data entry tasks related to loan processing and maintains records in the loan management system.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree and/or two years’ relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands
  • Work primarily in an office/warehouse setting.
  • Requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms; occasionally above head.
  • Requires twisting at the waist, climbing and descending stairs while carrying objects, and regular lifting of up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds).
  • Ability to speak and hear; frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; occasionally required to sit and balance.
  • Works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to general office machinery noise as well as warehouse or truck/forklift noise.
