Primary Function Responsibilities and Daily

Job Duties
  • Process 1st and 2nd mortgage loans from application through closing. This includes direct member interaction both in person, through technology and on the phone and requires timely communication with all impacted parties in order to ensure closing and service level expectations are met.
  • Handle mortgage closing and post-closing functions, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Efficiently work through queue of mortgage applications daily to ensure timely follow-up.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with the origination team, other departments within the Credit Union, and external vendors and partners.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements Qualifications
  • One to two years of experience in processing and/or closing conventional mortgage loans.
  • Experience with secondary market underwriting guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of required compliance regulations.
  • Experience with FHLB funding and servicing preferred.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong knowledge of computer and software applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to problem solve in an environment that may have unique circumstances for each borrower.
  • Ability to interact and assist at all levels of employees/management.
  • Flexibility and desire to learn and train on varied tasks.

Schedule
  • Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
