Job Description Objectives of this Role
  • Engage with customers and establish rapport that encourages further engagement
  • Assist team in achieving branch goals
  • Remain flexible to accommodate branch staffing needs
  • Work independently and manage time
  • Follow policies and procedures, maintaining accuracy
  • Follow through on daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
  • Contribute to branch meetings and culture
Essential Functions
  • Promote products and services based on customer's needs
    :
    Understand each customer’s financial goals and provide consultative advice to help them achieve their goals; provide account opening and maintenance, including consumer loan applications and closings.
  • Understanding of digital systems and its functionality
    :
    Support and promote digital banking, including online/mobile banking setup, login, password resets, and advising on use of bill pay, mobile deposit, alerts, online transfers, and payments.
  • Teller transaction processing
    :
    Assist customers with deposits, withdrawals, payments; resolve complaints, answer questions, maintain and balance cash drawers, reconcile discrepancies; assist with credit card applications.
  • In-bound and out-bound call handling
    :
    Be proactive, building relationships, identifying opportunities for product recommendations, and resolving issues before they arise.
  • Referrals to business partners
    :
    Connect customers with suitable banking partners to meet all financial needs within the bank.
  • Assist team in achieving branch goals
    :
    Meet quarterly banker minimum standards, participate in sales, service, product training meetings, and MBC@Work presentations.
  • Understanding of federal banking regulations
    :
    Apply BSA, USA Patriot Act, AML, and Notary Public requirements; maintain compliance and risk management awareness in daily tasks.

Skills and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required;
    Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of two years bank customer contact or retail sales experience preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport and engaging clients
  • Technologically savvy with quick learning of new systems and software
  • Problem‑solving mindset; think critically under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
  • Flexibility to work some weekends and evenings as needed
Physical Demands

The physical demands described below represent those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Productively, the role is largely sedentary; some filing, lifting, and occasional standing or bending may be required.

Working Conditions

Willing and able to travel to other locations or branches. Prepared to work required overtime, including evenings and weekends. The position is hourly and full time (approximately 40 hours per week).
