OverviewThe Supervision Division supervises financial institutions and provides central bank services in the 8th District. The Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) unit, within this Division, is looking for a Senior Manager to lead the M&A team, manage relationships with partners in the applications process, and uphold the Reserve Bank’s standards for processing regulatory applications and competitive factor assessments associated with bank mergers and acquisitions.
You will strive to position yourself as an expert on regulatory applications related issues. The M&A unit is a team comprised of financial analysts and bank examiners responsible for processing regulatory applications received from bank holding companies, state member banks, savings and loan holding companies, and thrifts. You will report directly to the Assistant Vice President of the M&A unit.
- Direct and develop a team of seven full-time professional staff members
- Cultivate an effective, motivated, and high-performing team
- Oversee regulatory application workflows and deliverables, ensuring all work products meet statutory, Federal Reserve System, and Division standards
- Make timely, well-informed decisions on complex regulatory matters
- Prepare high quality written correspondence for internal and external audiences
- Foster collaborative partnerships with M&A, Reserve Bank Supervision, Legal, and Board of Governors staff
- Maintain consultative relationships with external attorneys, bankers, consultants, and peer regulatory agencies on banking applications
- Lead or contribute to Federal Reserve System M&A work groups and projects
- Manage unit budget and resource allocation
- Drive efficiency through process enhancements and technology adoption
- Well-versed in applicable banking regulations (e.g., Reg H, Reg Y, Bank Merger Act)
- Familiarity with Reserve Bank Mergers & Acquisitions processing practices (preferred)
- Prior experience managing professional level staff (preferred)
- A record of caring for, developing, and bringing out the best in others/teambuilding
- Ability to multitask, work through times of stress, while fulfilling processing deadlines
- A record of building and leveraging formal and informal networks
- Experience engaging with bankers, attorneys, consultants, or banking supervisors
- Ability to connect with a variety of audiences through effective written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field or commensurate experience.
- 10 years’ experience in banking, banking supervision, regulatory policy, accounting, consulting, or law. Candidates with less experience may be considered at a lower job grade or salary.

Salary: $149,100 - $193,800
