Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst is a senior individual contributor within the Financial Planning & Analysis team responsible for leading complex financial analysis, enterprise forecasting, strategic planning, and investment evaluation across Gardner Capital’s portfolio. This role serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership by delivering sophisticated financial models, actionable business insights, and strategic recommendations that support capital allocation, portfolio optimization, and long-term growth initiatives.
The Senior Financial Analyst leads high-impact analytical projects, mentors junior analysts, and collaborates across departments to improve financial performance, strengthen reporting capabilities, and drive data-informed decision-making throughout the organization.
- Lead development of financial models supporting investments, capital allocation, and portfolio management.
- Own company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
- Evaluate acquisitions, refinancing opportunities, capital projects, and strategic initiatives.
- Analyze portfolio performance andidentifyfinancial risks and opportunities.
- Present financial analyses and recommendations directly to executive leadership.
- Review loan agreements, partnership agreements, and financing structures for financial implications.
- Design dashboards and reporting tools to improve executive decision-making.
- Lead cross-functional finance initiatives involving Accounting, Asset Management, Development, Treasury, and Operations.
- Mentor and review work performed by junior analysts.
- Recommend improvements to financial processes, reporting standards, and analytical methodologies.
- Support Board, lender, investor, and audit reporting requirements.
- Lead special projects involving strategic planning, capital markets, and business growth initiatives.

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related quantitative discipline
- 5–8 years of progressively responsible experience in FP&A, investment analysis, corporate finance, valuation, or structured finance
- Expertproficiencyin Microsoft Excel, financialmodelingand Power BI
- MBA/CPA/CFA Preferred
- Experience in affordable housing, renewable energy, real estate, private equity, or structured finance
- SQL,VBAor similar analytical tools
- Experience presenting financial recommendations to executive leadership
