Team Overview:

Edward Jones Trust Company provides a full range of trust, investment management, and custody services to individuals, businesses, charitable organizations, and private foundations. The New Business Senior Trust Advisor serves as the primary relationship manager for Edward Jones branch teams, with a particular focus on delivering an exceptional account onboarding experience. This individual acts as the trusted point of contact throughout the onboarding process, ensuring both clients and branch teams receive timely, accurate, and high-quality service.

What You Will Do:

Beyond onboarding, the New Business Senior Trust Advisor plays a critical role in the overall client experience by maintaining strong relationships with branch teams, collaborating closely with the Edward Jones Trust Company Client Service Team, and providing informal leadership and guidance within the organization. The position is responsible for helping resolve client and branch inquiries, driving service excellence, and fostering confidence in the Trust Company's capabilities.

A key objective of the role is to strengthen and deepen relationships with existing Edward Jones branches, increasing awareness and utilization of trust services. By consistently delivering outstanding service and acting as a trusted advisor, the Senior Trust Advisor helps expand trust business opportunities and enhance long‑term client and branch engagement.

  • Promote Edward Jones Trust Company services and, when appropriate, support estate planning discussions with clients, Financial Advisors, branch teams, and internal partners.
  • Serve as the dedicated relationship manager and primary Trust Company resource for assigned client accounts and branch teams.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through ongoing communication and outreach.
  • Travel periodically to meet with branch teams and support relationship development.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for onboarding‑related client and branch concerns.
  • Resolve issues proactively and provide recommended solutions that align client expectations with Trust Company capabilities.
  • Lead the onboarding process for all new fiduciary accounts.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities across Trust Officers, Fiduciary Officers, Portfolio Managers, and Trust Specialists.
  • Evaluate prospective relationships through comprehensive risk assessments.
  • Analyze assets, family dynamics, beneficiary structures, tax returns, accountings, and other relevant information.
  • Review and perform initial interpretation of governing documents, including:
    • Trust agreements
    • Wills
    • Powers of Attorney
    • Beneficiary designations
    • Related contracts and legal documents
  • Determine whether EJTC is able to properly interpret and administer governing documents.
  • Lead or participate in Trust Company and firm‑wide initiatives that improve client service and operational effectiveness.
