Financial Advisor / Consultant, Wealth Management
Correct Capital Wealth Management – St. Louis, MO Full-Time | In-Office Preferred (Hybrid Considered) Correct Capital Wealth Management, a Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) specializing in defined contribution (DC) retirement plans, is seeking an experienced Retirement Plan Wealth Advisor to join our ensemble team. This role is responsible for driving new business growth by selling group retirement plan solutions, and non-qualified plans to businesses, non-profits, and institutions.
The Advisor will have a proven record in retirement plan sales, strong industry relationships, and expertise in consultative selling to plan sponsors, fiduciaries, and institutional clients. This position is ideal for an initiative-taking, client-focused professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and has deep experience in the DC space.
Key Responsibilities:Business Development
- Proactively identify and engage prospective clients through networking, referrals, and direct outreach to business owners, HR professionals, CFOs, and plan sponsors
- Acquiring new retirement plan relationships
- Consult with organizations to assess their retirement plan needs and present tailored solutions that align with their fiduciary obligations and business objectives
- Negotiate and close new business opportunities while adhering to compliance requirements and fiduciary standards
- Maintain an active pipeline and track sales performance metrics using CRM tools to drive consistent new business growth
- Foster a supportive business development environment across firm associations (advisor for AGCMO retirement plan), collaborate with Correct Capital Advisor teams to support sales effort and deliver seamless client experience
- Manage onboarding of new retirement plan relationships with Retirement Plan Relationship Manager
- Update systems, including plan-level information feeds (RPAG) and Redtail CRM tasks.
- Review plan design and demographics.
- Develop communication strategies with Correct Capital teams for plan sponsors and participants.
- Deliver effective solutions to client needs while maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers.
- Provide fiduciary education and guidance to plan sponsors and conduct plan benchmarking and reporting as required.
- Assist with investment menu changes, CIT participation agreements, and related notices.
- Partner with the Retirement Plan Relationship Manager to:
- Facilitate annual plan reviews, including obtaining or generate review reports.
- Prepare meeting minutes, presentation decks, and related materials.
- Provide fee analyses and demonstrate working knowledge of mutual funds, stable value, and CITS
- Build strong working relationships with the Correct Capital team.
- Plan and conduct in person or virtual meetings with plan sponsors and partners.
- Stay current on retirement plan regulations, industry trends, and evolving technology platforms
Skills & Qualifications
- FINRA Series 65 license required (or the Series 7 and 66). Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 4+ years of experience in retirement plan sales, financial services, or a related field
- Retirement industry experience required;
Strong knowledge of ERISA, fiduciary standards, and regulatory compliance in the retirement industry - Existing network of contacts within the business and institutional markets preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional presentation ability
- Proactive, collaborative team orientation
- Experience with RPAG, Redtail CRM, shared drives, and retirement plan technology resources
- Business Development Incentive: 40% of new revenue (first-year income received) for relationships you bring to the firm – paid quarterly
- Team-Based Incentive:
Based on firm-level revenue growth – paid semi-annually - Flexible paid time off (vacation, personal, sick). Accrual begins after 90 days; first-year PTO: 18 days
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage; firm pays a portion of employee premium.
Dependent coverage available - Voluntary term life and AD&D available
- Firm-paid Basic Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability
- Eligibility for company retirement plan after six months
- Safe Harbor Match: 100% of salary deferrals up to 6%
- Profit Sharing:
Discretionary 3% employer contribution (vesting schedule applies)
This position reports directly to the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Correct Capital Wealth Management, LLC.
