Description
Provide casework for inmates focused on incoming processing, inmate programs, and re-entry into the community.

EssentialFunctions
- Assess classification status and determine program eligibility by securing and verifying information from inmates and other sources.
- Document caseload status, update records showing inmate progress, and prepare reports.
- Monitor and direct daily inmate activities and enforce rules and regulations.
- Facilitate communications between inmates, court personnel, law enforcement and family members.
- Maintain and expand relationships with community service agencies and coordinate client referrals.
- Provide pre‑release group and individual counseling, calculate release dates, and connect inmates to community resources and services prior to release.
Optional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Minimum Qualifications- Equivalent to a related Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience in substance abuse is not required but preferred.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
A selection committee will evaluate qualifications, including education, experience, supplemental question responses, reference results, and other relevant information. Candidates must achieve a qualifying grade of 70 or more on the interview. Those selected will be asked to complete a Conviction Questionnaire within 3 days. The top five candidates based on final grade will be certified to the Director for final decision.
Conditional offers require a drug screening; cost covered by the County.
