Great Opportunity!! Do you want to work with a great team in providing safe patient care in the OR? Our ideal candidates will provide excellent and safe care in a fast‑paced environment. Previous surgery experience is preferred. This will be covering ortho, urology, plastics, neuro, spine.

Barnes‑Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience.

Performs surgical duties for operating room procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.

• Prepares operating room for surgical patient, reviews preference cards to determine surgeon needs, obtains the necessary supplies and equipment for the procedure, ensures cleanliness of room, and assists with opening sterile supplies.
• Performs surgical scrub duties, and assists with the collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens.
• Assists in turning over of room, and ensures supplies, instruments, and equipment are returned to proper location.

• High School Diploma or GED
