Medical Assistant - Neurosurgery (F/T Days) at Mercy summary:

Provides clinical and clerical support in a neurosurgery outpatient clinic by preparing patients, assisting physicians, performing basic clinical tasks (vitals, labs, x-rays), scheduling, and maintaining medical records while adhering to established nursing standards and organizational values. Requires high school diploma/GED, BLS within 90 days, and either medical assistant certification (preferred/required for CMA role) with ~6 months clinical experience preferred. Assists the physician and office staff with selected duties to include clerical processing, patient preparation, scheduling, lab, x-ray and medical records. As directed, performs patient care activities consistent with the established standards of nursing practice.
