Shriners Children's St. Louis is seeking a full time Medical Assistant Coordinator to join our team!
The Medical Assistant Coordinator is responsible for delegating and coordinating nursing care for the Medical Office / ACC, as well as providing leadership for the day to day operations in the area.
This includes assisting providers, completing documentation, providing care and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities- Maintains clinic flow to best advantage of the patient, physicians and clinic staff.
- Participates in orientation of all team members.
- Makes self available to clinic aides/assistants to answer questions concerning patients throughout the day.
- Provides guidance and direction to staff in the Medical Office process.
- Provides opportunities for staff members to share concerns and address patient issues.
- Provides input on clinic personnel performance appraisals and any disciplinary action needed.
- Keeps Manager informed of problems arising in the flow process and/or staff
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant Certificate and Certification
- 5 yrs Medical Assistant experience
- Procedural experience
- 1 yr Supervisory experience
- BLS
