Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure safe and effective use of oncology therapy
- Collaborating with nurses, oncologists, midlevel providers and other healthcare providers to optimize patient care
- Managing drug-drug interactions
- Development of treatment plans
- Supporting patients with education on their medications and chemotherapy treatment plans
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong background in oncology pharmacy
- Excellent communication skills
- A passion for improving patient outcomes
PGY1 residency required. (PGY2 in oncology/ambulatory experience preferred)

Here, department staff has access to a number of drug information resources, including many online references accessible from department computers. An on-site drug information center provides support for more in-depth questions.
Role Purpose
Evaluates and recommends appropriate drug therapy to achieve optimal cost-effective patient outcomes, by working directly with physicians, other health professionals, and patients. Participates in the development, provision and evaluation of comprehensive pharmaceutical care and quality assurance programs through scholarly activities. Serves as a resource to the pharmacy staff and other hospital departments.
