Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in a Neuro/Ortho unit at an acute care hospital, requiring a valid MO or compact RN license and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience.

Job Details

• Neuro/Ortho Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a 233-bed acute care hospital,

• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00-19:30),

• Patient ratio of 1:6,

• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs; may be pulled to any unit except the ICU, SDU, and ED,

• Every other weekend requirement:
Saturday and Sunday for day shift,

• No on-call requirements,

• Epic EMR; experience required,

Job Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license required at time of consideration; IL candidates may be considered with a pending IL license,

• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required,

• 1-2 years of RN experience required,

• Epic EMR experience required,

• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility,

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,

• Navy scrubs required,

• No parking costs,

• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation,

• Block scheduling is not available,

• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler,

• Travelers may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
