Advanced MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Technologist

Find your calling at Mercy! The Advanced MRI Technologist operates imaging equipment and software, mostly MRI equipment, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards. The Advanced MRI Technologist position also requires a strong commitment to patient care, technical expertise, and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.

• Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist or MRI Technologist program, with completion of required clinical hours.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience or recent graduate of a bachelor's degree program.
• Licensure/
  
  Certifications:
  • ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required.
  • Must hold at least one advanced registry in MRI and be actively working in the modality.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Skills & Knowledge:
  • Proficient in IV insertion.
  • Strong technical skills in medical imaging, including cross-sectional anatomy and 3D imaging.
  • Ability to operate MRI scanners, power injectors, imaging workstations, and related computer systems.
