This role works independently to complete patient assessments and facilitate therapeutic live music groups, with guitar or piano preferred. The Activity Therapist will join a collaborative team of Activity Therapists and Behavioral Associates and help engage patients through a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities in a well-equipped recreation space overlooking Forest Park.

• Full Time - 40 Hours Per Week, M-F, 1 weekend/month, 1 holiday/year
• Day Shift: 8am-4:30pm

• Minimum Requirements:
  • BS in Music Therapy
  • Board Certified Music Therapist

Organizes and implements a music therapy program to address physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs of patients.

• Uses music therapy as a process that combines the verbally transcendent and emotionally authentic aspects of music with the needs of the patient.
• Serves as a resource person and guide providing musical experiences that will aid in patient care.
• Designs and conducts music sessions for individuals and groups, based on client needs.
• Coordinates therapy with other team members and shares response to music therapy intervention.

• Bachelor's Degree
