Role Overview: A full-time Breast Sonographer performs ultrasound imaging, including breast, abdominal, small parts, and obstetrical studies, to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include ensuring equipment readiness, independently conducting ultrasound examinations, and documenting procedures. The role may involve on‑call duties, portable exams, and working at various sites.
Qualifications & Skills: Must have RDMS or equivalent certification; breast sonography experience and mammography/ultrasound skills are highly preferred. Basic education requires an associate degree or trade school training. Preferred experience includes at least 2 years of relevant work, with certifications like Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and RDCS being advantageous.
Key Duties: Ensure proper operation of ultrasound equipment, perform imaging studies accurately, and document procedures thoroughly. The role may include assisting with needle procedures and vascular imaging.
