Magnolia Tribute Portfolio Hotel | Downtown St. Louis

The Magnolia Tribute Portfolio Hotel is seeking a dynamic Director of Restaurants, Bars & Events to lead and elevate our food, beverage, and event operations. This key leadership role oversees daily operations, revenue performance, forecasting and budgeting, and the development of high-performing teams—while delivering exceptional guest experiences and maximizing profitability.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality leader with a passion for service excellence, team development, and operational discipline. This role ensures compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations while maintaining high standards of quality, service, and brand presentation.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

  • Provide strategic direction and daily oversight of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, lounges, banquet operations, and catering.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop management and hourly teams to foster a culture of service excellence, accountability, and collaboration.

  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality food, beverage, and service standards aligned with brand expectations.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for all F&B operations.

  • Monitor and control labor costs, food and beverage costs, inventory, and operating expenses to achieve profitability targets.

  • Analyze financial reports and KPIs to identify trends, opportunities, and corrective actions.

Guest Experience & Brand Standards

  • Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction through proactive service recovery, quality assurance, and attention to detail.

  • Collaborate with hotel leadership to align food and beverage offerings with overall guest experience and hotel positioning.

  • Oversee menu development, beverage programs, and seasonal offerings that enhance the hotel’s market appeal.

Sales, Events & Partnerships

  • Work closely with Sales and Events teams to maximize banquet and catering revenue.

  • Support the planning and execution of meetings, weddings, and special events, ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction.

  • Build relationships with vendors, suppliers, and local partners to support quality and cost efficiency.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health, safety, and labor regulations.

  • Maintain sanitation, food safety, and alcohol service standards across all outlets.

  • Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications Qualifications
  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel or upscale food and beverage operations.

  • Prior experience as a Director of Food & Beverage or senior F&B manager in a full-service hotel preferred.

  • Strong financial acumen with proven success managing budgets and controlling costs.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of banquet, catering, restaurant, and bar operations.

  • Serv Safe and alcohol service certifications (or ability to obtain).

  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
