Floor Supervisor, Hospitality ​/ Hotel ​/ Catering

When you work in Hawaii, in addition to learning about the functional aspects of running a hotel — like the proper way to make a bed or how to best handle luggage — it’s critically important to understand Hawaiian culture and the spirit of ‘ohana, or ‘family.’ When opening the first Andaz property in Hawaii, our team participated in Hawaiian culture training to help us understand what ‘ohana truly means.

• Supervision and Management:
  Assign duties to housekeeping staff, schedule shifts, and train new employees.
• Quality Control:
  Inspect rooms, public areas, and back of house for cleanliness and ensure adherence to standards.
• Guest relations:
  Address guest requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Compliance:
  Ensure adherence to safety, hygiene and sanitation regulations.
• Performance Evaluations:
  Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback and coaching.
• Collaboration:
  
  Coordinate with other departments like front desk and maintenance.
• Reporting:
  Maintain records of cleaning schedules, staff performance, and supply inventory.
• Problem Solving:
  Handle housekeeping emergencies and resolve issues promptly.
• Process Improvement:
  Implement and enforce housekeeping policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
