• Answers the phones and takes messages/reservations.
• Maintains an accurate wait list when necessary.
• Welcomes guests when they arrive and bids them goodbye to create a lasting positive experience.
• Greets guests in a friendly and upbeat manner and smiles to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Communicates effectively with all guests.
• Communicates problems to management immediately.
• Coordinates seating arrangements to provide fast and courteous service to guests.
• Occasionally buses tables when needed to expedite efficient seating of waiting guests.
• Anticipates needs of scheduled special parties.

• At least one year of experience with customer service and/or hosting.
• Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred.
• Excellent communication skills when interacting with guests, employees, and third parties, reflecting highly on the venue, brand, and company.
• Reading and writing abilities frequently utilized when recording and reviewing reservations and table assignment systems.
• Must be able to read, review, and understand seating charts.
• Basic mathematical skills routinely used.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

• Strong attention to detail.
• Capable of carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Handling objects (including food and utensils). Speaking over and operating phones.
• Standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Must be able to stay in one location at either the entrance or exit of the venue for long periods and safely move about the entire facility.
