The Assistant Director of Restaurants and Brand Support, supports the development, communication, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of brand standards and food and beverage initiatives across the hotel portfolio. This position partners with ownership, hotel operations, training, maintenance, procurement, marketing, legal and other corporate teams to ensure standards are clear, practical, consistently executed, and aligned with the company’s guest experience expectations. The role helps protect the integrity of the brand and all aspects of food and beverage, by identifying opportunities for improvement, supporting field execution, and promoting consistency in service, product, cleanliness, safety, and product relevance.
Responsibilities and Duties:- Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating company brand standards, procedures, tools, and reference materials.
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating company food and beverage, procedures, tools, and reference materials.
- Support consistent execution of brand standards and food and beverage initiatives across hotels through communication, follow-up, field support, and partnership with operations leaders.
- Partner with ownership, corporate and hotel teams to evaluate new standards, products, services, equipment, and processes before implementation.
- Prepare clear communication, training materials, checklists, presentations, and implementation guides to support successful rollout of standards and initiatives.
- Research and monitor industry trends and visit competitors, ensuring ownership, operations and executive leadership are informed and brand standards evolve, to support product relevance and Drury Hotels’ strategic goals.
- Collaborate with ownership, operations, maintenance, procurement, food and beverage, learning, and other departments to ensure standards are operationally effective and financially responsible.
- Track assigned projects, timelines, open items, and implementation progress to ensure effective execution and accountability.
- Identify process improvement opportunities that support consistency, guest satisfaction, team member efficiency, cost control, and brand protection.
- Build strong working relationships with hotel leadership and corporate partners while serving as a practical resource for brand standard questions and guidance.
- Write business correspondence for an executive audience.
- Develop a business case and support pursuit of approvals for company-wide initiatives, innovations and roll-outs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Corporate food and beverage specialist(s) report to this position. Additionally, this position will provide project direction, and support to hotel and corporate team members but does not have direct supervisory responsibility over these teams. As assigned, the role may assist with guiding cross-functional project teams, coordinating work, providing feedback, and supporting accountability for brand standard and/or food and beverage initiative implementation.
Education and Experience:- Five or more years of hotel operations, brand standards, quality assurance, training, property leadership, or related hospitality experience preferred.
- Experience in hotel operations leadership, multi-property support, guest experience management, or corporate hospitality support strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience developing, implementing, auditing, or supporting operational standards, procedures, training materials, or process improvements preferred.
