The HR Generalist supports daily Human Resources operations across multiple functional areas including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and performance management. This role ensures HR processes run smoothly, supports managers and employees, and helps drive a positive, productive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities- Administer day-to-day HR functions, including employee records, HRIS updates, and documentation.
- Partner with hiring managers to post positions, screen applicants, schedule interviews, and coordinate offers.
- Conduct new hire orientations and ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries.
- Advise employees and managers on HR policies, practices, and procedures.
- Assist with performance review cycles, goal tracking, and employee development initiatives.
- Manage employee relations matters by gathering facts, documenting issues, and escalating as appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Support HR initiatives such as engagement surveys, training programs, and wellness events.
- Generate HR reports and metrics as needed.
- Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 3-5 years of progressive HR experience preferred.
- Knowledge of HR laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
This position operates in a professional office environment and may involve occasional travel to other company sites or events.
