Network Security Engineer

Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented Network Security Engineer.

Do you have deep expertise in Palo Alto Networks and Cisco ASA firewalls, including the ability to perform code upgrades and handle NERC clearance requirements?

Handling daily firewall operations, including code upgrades and maintaining keep the lights on baseline work. Performing investigative work on threat logs and managing minimal vulnerability management tasks. Participating in an on-call support rotation for the network environment.

• Firewall Management:Configure and maintain Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances.
• Infrastructure Design:Design, deploy, and manage secure network architectures to protect company assets.
• Risk Assessment:Perform risk and vulnerability assessments to identify security weaknesses.
• Policy Enforcement:Develop and enforce security policies and best practices to comply with industry standards such as NERC CIP, NIST, and ISO 27001.
• Advanced Security:Implement and manage zero-trust security models, endpoint security, and identity access controls.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (significant real-world experience may be considered).
• Professional
  
  Experience:
  
  5+ years of experience in network security engineering or cybersecurity roles.
• Networking Background: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and DDoS mitigation.
• Security Tools
  :
  Hands-on experience with tools like Splunk, Net Scout, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection platforms.
• Cloud & Frameworks
  :
  Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Mule) and standardized security frameworks.

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, PCNSA/PCNSE, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
• Experience working within large-scale, complex corporate environments.
• Previous experience managing NERC CIP compliance standards.

Pay: $41.41 - $59.16 /hr.
