We’re seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our Technology team. In this role, you’ll manage, optimize, and safeguard enterprise database environments with a strong focus on Microsoft SQL Server and Azure. You’ll partner closely with development, infrastructure, and analytics teams to ensure our data platforms are secure, resilient, and performing at their best.
This role plays a critical part in maintaining the availability, security, and performance of critical systems that support reporting, analytics, and day-to-day business operations—making a direct impact on how the organization uses and trusts its data.

A DAY IN THE LIFE- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database environments.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, availability, and scalability.
- Support compliance, internal controls, and data maturity efforts (e.g., CMMI Level
2) by maintaining well‑documented, secure, and audit‑ready database environments. - Implement and maintain data security controls, including data classification and tagging, row‑level security (RLS), auditing, and least‑privilege access, ensuring alignment with enterprise security and compliance standards.
- Apply patches, updates, and version upgrades with minimal downtime.
- Design, implement, and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Perform routine reviews of database usage and dependencies to identify unused or underutilized databases, and partner with stakeholders to safely sunset, archive, or decommission them in accordance with security, compliance, and data retention standards.
- Ensure data consistency, integrity, and accuracy across enterprise systems.
- Perform capacity planning and storage optimization.
- Monitor system health and proactively identify performance and security risks, including unauthorized access attempts, permission drift, and encryption status; troubleshoot and remediate issues as needed.
- Analyze slow‑running queries, optimize indexes, and resolve blocking or locking issues.
- Support integrations with various source systems, including ERP, CRM, APIs, flat files, and cloud services.
