What You Will Be DoingServing as the primary bridge between the platform team and the data science community to enable the successful modeling and operationalization of solutions. Partnering with members of the Data Science community to implement best practices and align with the overarching platform vision.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Guidance: Providing troubleshooting and best-practice guidance to data scientists through documentation, Microsoft Teams, and direct communication.
- Community Engagement: Organizing events and building relationships with influencers and community leaders to extend platform reach.
- Advocacy: Communicating developer experiences to engineering teams to ensure products meet user needs.
- Promotion: Facilitating internal workshops to showcase the potential of ecosystem platforms and data products.
- Education: Master s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level skills in Python or R, including libraries like pandas, Num Py, scikit-learn, and various data visualization tools.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Workflow Knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud platforms, data science workflows, MLOps practices, and model deployment strategies.
- Development Standards: Proficiency in version control (Git), code review processes, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization/orchestration technologies.
- Experience with enterprise-level Decision Science Ecosystem (DSE) platforms.
- Knowledge of agricultural domain applications or crop science use cases.
- Background in developer relations, technical evangelism, or community management.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and data formats like Protobuf.
- Experience with content creation such as blog writing, video production, or podcasts.
Pay: $64.40 - $92.00 /hr.
