Automation and Validation Consultant

Program Type: Post-Merger Finance Stabilization (SAP ECC)

Work Model: Onsite / Onshore with 50–100% travel | US Central Time hours

The Automation and Validation Consultant will execute automation and validation activities supporting company code consolidation within a multi-entity, multi-instance SAP ECC landscape following a merger. The role is accountable for building automated reconciliation checks, regression validation scripts, and data integrity controls across SAP and integrated systems during mock conversions, cutover, and first consolidated close.

This is a hands‑on execution role focused on reducing manual validation risk and accelerating financial stabilization cycles. This is not a QA transformation initiative or tool implementation program.

This is not AMS support and not a greenfield implementation.

• Design and execute automated validation scripts for financial and transactional data
• Build reconciliation checks for GL, AR, AP, CO, GTM, and intercompany balances
• Develop regression validation routines comparing pre- and post-conversion datasets
• Automate reconciliation extracts using SAP reports, BW queries, or SQL-based tools
• Validate integration data flows across PI/PO and BTP integration environments
• Support mock conversion cycles by accelerating defect identification
• Coordinate with Data Migration, ABAP, and Functional teams to embed repeatable validation checkpoints
• Support production cutover monitoring and post-go-live stabilization validation

• 10-15 years of experience in SAP ECC environments with strong exposure to financial data validation
• Direct participation in at least 2 legal entity consolidations, carve‑ins/outs, or ERP integrations
• Demonstrated experience building validation scripts using Python, SQL, or comparable scripting tools
• Experience extracting and reconciling SAP data using queries, BW, or reporting tools
• Experience validating integration flows across PI/PO or BTP environments
• Strong understanding of FI‑CO data structures and financial reporting dependencies
• Experience supporting mock conversion cycles and financial cutover validation
• Ability to operate in high-accountability environments with strict financial scrutiny

• Experience with Tricentis Tosca or similar model-based enterprise test automation tools
• Exposure to SAP test automation frameworks supporting regression validation
• Experience with enterprise Dev Ops or automation pipelines
• Experience supporting S/4

• Highly detail-oriented with strong control mindset
• Reduces manual reconciliation effort through intelligent automation
• Quickly identifies anomalies across financial and transactional datasets
