Lead Oracle Cloud Infrastructure; OCI Architect

Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented Lead Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect.

Do you have experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale OCI environments supporting AI, ML, and digital transformation initiatives?

As a Lead Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect within our client's technology team, you will lead the design, configuration, and deployment of enterprise OCI environments that support analytics, AI, ML, and digital transformation efforts. You will partner with various stakeholders to establish OCI foundational services, governance frameworks, and automation practices. In this hybrid role (at least 3 days onsite at Ameren HQ, including Tuesday and Wednesday), you will provide technical leadership, ensure secure and scalable cloud platforms, and develop strategies for cloud optimization.

Your work will directly influence enterprise data management and AI initiatives, helping to modernize and transform the organization’s cloud infrastructure.

• Lead the architecture, setup, and deployment of OCI environments supporting analytics, AI, and enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Define and implement OCI landing zones, tenancy architecture, security zones, and identity management frameworks.
• Architect and support scalable, resilient, and cost-effective OCI infrastructure solutions across all environments.
• Establish cloud architecture standards, best practices, and operational guidelines for OCI AI/ML services.
• Design and implement enterprise AI/ML infrastructures supporting data science and generative AI projects.
• Configure Oracle AI and analytics platforms such as AIDP, OAC, ADW, and Oracle Generative AI.
• Develop and optimize Dev Sec Ops  processes including Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, OCI Resource Manager) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and networking teams to ensure compliance, security, hybrid cloud connectivity, and efficient VCNs and routing.
• Establish operational procedures for backup, disaster recovery, high availability, monitoring, and patching.
• Provide technical mentorship and leadership to engineering teams, developers, and data scientists.
• Conduct architecture reviews, recommend cloud optimization strategies, and document standards and procedures.
• Support enterprise projects and provide risk assessments, technical reports, and strategic recommendations.
• Evaluate emerging cloud and AI/ML technologies for potential adoption aligned with business objectives.

• 10+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years in cloud architecture.
• 3+ years of direct Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience in enterprise environments.
• Proven track record designing and deploying enterprise OCI solutions supporting analytics and AI initiatives.
• Strong expertise with OCI core services including IAM, networking, security, and automation tools.
• Hands‑on experience with OCI AI services such as AIDP, Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), and Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or OCI Resource Manager.
• Experience automating CI/CD workflows and implementing Dev Sec Ops  best practices.
• Scripting skills using Python or similar languages.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML deployment, including LLMs and Generative AI platforms.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise data ecosystems, API integrations, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, and relevant certifications preferred.

• Industry experience in utilities, energy, or large enterprise sectors.
• Advanced certifications in cloud architecture or AI/ML platforms.
• Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and enterprise application integrations.
• Exposure to automating complex data pipelines and governance frameworks.

Pay: $80.50 – $115.00 per hour
