Platform Engineer - St. Louis

Job Description

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will own the lifecycle, deployment, and uptime of our critical application environments. You will drive automation initiatives, spearhead performance tuning, and design robust CI/CD processes. We are looking for a cloud‑certified technical leader with a strong coding background and 5+ years of experience who can translate complex business needs into elegant technical solutions while mentoring a growing team.

• Driving direction of a specific platform or application including creation of new environments, software upgrades, and tuning.
• Driving the creation and amendment of automation scripts and supporting documentation.
• Provide software deployment services for QA and production environments.
• Direct application performance monitoring and tuning.
• Be actively involved in protecting the uptime and performance of the application. Provide knowledge and expertise in the development and operational support and maintenance for a range of applications and tools.
• Define the updates to the production environment.
• Responsible for the installation, set up and support of third‑party software running on internal managed environments.
• Designing and setting up deployment procedures, setting up robust processes, monitoring production systems and managing configuration.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members.
• Ability to understand complex business issues and identify technical solutions.
• Communicate direction clearly to other members of the team.

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent job experience required.
• Basic certification in key platform tool(s) and/or 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Cloud certification strongly preferred.
