Vaco is actively seeking a Salesforce Platform Engineer for a direct-hire role focused on Salesforce utilization across a global enterprise.

Position Summary

The Engineer will design, build, and support Salesforce Services Cloud capabilities that enable product, application teams, and business operations to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable customer facing solutions solutions.

Operating within a dedicated Salesforce FSC model, this role treats infrastructure, automation, and tooling as internal products focused on improving productivity, accelerating delivery, and ensuring operational reliability.

The engineer will utilize Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, enhance CI/CD pipelines, and support Salesforce services while ensuring governance, security, and regulatory compliance.

This role will also play a key part in supporting established Dev Ops practices and release automation that integrates with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and other enterprise systems supporting financial services and business operations.

Primary Areas of Focus
  • Salesforce Platform Engineering:
    Support Salesforce Dev Ops tooling and CI/CD processes, including metadata promotion, release coordination, and sandbox management. Contribute to automation and workflow enhancements within Salesforce Financial Services Cloud while ensuring alignment with enterprise Dev Ops and cloud standards.
  • Cloud Platform Engineering:
    Design and implement reusable IoC modules and secure scalable cloud patterns that align with enterprise standards, governance, and security policies. Contribute to developer enablement through self‑service infrastructure capabilities and automation tooling.
  • CI/CD & Dev Ops Automation:
    Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting automated build, testing, artifact management, security validation, and deployment processes. Develop automation frameworks that improve deployment reliability, environment consistency, and delivery speed while troubleshooting pipeline and deployment issues.
  • Reliability & Operations:
    Develop monitoring dashboards, reliability metrics, and observability capabilities supporting service‑level objectives and Salesforce platform health. Support proactive monitoring, automated remediation, incident response, root cause analysis, and platform optimization.
  • Platform Enablement &

    Collaboration:

    Partner with application and product teams to migrate workloads to standardize Dev Ops platform patterns. Improve developer skills, documentation, self‑service capabilities, and contribute to tracking adoption and developer metrics.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years dedicated engineering experience within Salesforce Cloud including the design, development, and support of implemented Salesforce solutions, preferably Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC), using Apex, Lightning Web Components, APIs, and modern integration frameworks to build scalable functionality, automate processes, and support CI/CD and Dev Ops deployment practices.
  • Design and configure Salesforce platform capabilities including custom objects, flows, validation rules, security models, and FSC features to support business workflows, advisor tools, and enterprise data governance.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to operate independently within complex technical environments.
  • Experience with modern public cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, ARM, or similar technologies.
  • Previous experience within finance, banking, wealth, investments, or similar is a plus.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across executive, technical, and operational stakeholders.
