Platform Technical Lead

Position Overview

Radiance Technologies, a 100% employee‑owned company, is seeking an experienced leader to oversee a hybrid cloud data management platform. The role focuses on deploying and operating the platform for data scientists, engineers, and machine learning teams, and acts as the primary liaison to the customer.

• Oversee the design, deployment, and implementation of a hybrid cloud data management platform.
• Develop and execute schedules for platform installation and updates.
• Oversee observability, including metrics, logs, alerts, and dashboards.
• Develop and manage capacity plans for on‑premises and cloud resources.
• Manage a customer‑facing help desk for technical and administrative support.
• Identify upgrades and improvements to maintain high availability and best‑in‑class tooling.
• Coordinate with NGA infrastructure engineers on authentication, authorization, and security integration.

• 15+ years supporting the DoD and/or IC community.
• 15+ years leading technical teams in R&D and operations.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years working with data engineering platforms and geospatial data.
• Experience with platforms such as Databricks.
• Experience in AWS infrastructure and VMware TKG Kubernetes, including HA and disaster recovery.
• Experience managing data engineers, cloud engineers, Kubernetes administrators, and systems integration engineers.
• Experience writing and reviewing technical reports for government requirements.

• Technical leadership for medium/large organizations.
• Agile methodologies and management of multiple teams.
• Dev Sec Ops  processes and tools.
• Knowledge of AI/ML operations, technologies, and data management techniques.
• Strong communication and collaboration at senior organizational level.
• Mentoring and multi‑discipline team collaboration.

• Kubernetes Certified Administrator.
• Security+ certification.

This position is contingent on contract award and funding. Classified work requires an active TS/SCI clearance.
