Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Specialist to join their 24x7 Digital Control Center team. This role is critical to ensuring the availability, performance, and security of enterprise infrastructure in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. The Operations Specialist will be responsible for monitoring systems, responding to alerts, and supporting day-to-day infrastructure operations. This includes troubleshooting and resolving incidents across network and server environments such as MPLS, Cisco, Nokia, SCADA, and Windows servers.
This role also involves real-time monitoring, alert triage, and incident response, as well as providing phone support and maintaining clear communication with users and vendors to ensure timely resolution and a high level of customer service.
- Monitor infrastructure, applications, and services using enterprise tools
- Respond to alerts, outages, and incidents following defined SLAs
- Perform initial triage and elevate issues to appropriate teams
- Log and manage incidents within Service Now
- Provide phone support and communicate with users and vendors
- Execute routine operational tasks such as patching, backups, and system checks
- Coordinate maintenance activities and support infrastructure monitoring
- Experience in NOC, Help Desk, or Operations Support environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking, or systems
- Experience monitoring alerts, dashboards, and incidents
- Exposure to networking concepts (Cisco, MPLS, Wi‑Fi, or similar)
- Experience with ticketing systems such as Service Now
- Basic knowledge of Windows servers or infrastructure environments
- Ability to work in a 24x7 rotating shift environment
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace
- Exposure to SCADA, telecom, or fiber infrastructure
- Familiarity with security concepts such as malware alerts or incident response
- Experience with virtualization environments
- Knowledge of network protocols and authentication (802.1x)
- Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments
- Exposure to disaster recovery or business continuity processes
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Adaptability in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments
- Customer‑focused mindset with attention to detail
Location:
St. Louis, MO. Hybrid, onsite during weekday day shifts and remote flexibility depending on schedule. 12-hour rotating shifts (7:00AM–7:00PM or 7:00PM–7:00AM). Rotating day and night schedules. 3 days on / 3 days off rotation pattern. Weekday day shifts are onsite. Weekend shifts are primarily remote. Night shifts are mostly remote, with onsite requirement on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Pay Range:
The approximate pay range for this position is between $30.00 and $35.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums. Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance Plans.
