UNCOMN is seeking a Data Engineer 4 (Senior, ETL) to:

• Design and support data ingestion, ETL/ELT, validation, and migration workflows needed for modernization initiatives.
• Build and maintain data pipelines that improve consistency, quality, and traceability across environments.
• Work with application and reporting teams to translate source data into usable structures for downstream processes.
• Support schema changes, data quality controls, reconciliation activities, and migration readiness planning.
• Help document data movement, transformation logic, and operational dependencies for supported solutions.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to resolve data issues and improve data reliability.

This position description outlines the core duties for this role, but it is not all-inclusive. Responsibilities may shift based on contract requirements, mission needs, or organizational objectives.

• 8+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, CMIS, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or 4 additional years of related experience.
• Experience building or supporting ETL/ELT, data integration, or migration workflows.
• Working knowledge of data validation, transformation logic, and structured data handling.
• Experience collaborating with application, reporting, or integration teams on end-to-end data needs.
• Ability to troubleshoot data quality issues and support durable fixes.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working across technical and business stakeholders.
• Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance or similar, granted by the U.S. Government, which requires U.S. citizenship. The government also uses 13 adjudicative guidelines to determine an individual's eligibility.
• Must be willing to obtain relevant certifications as required by future client or contract needs.

• Experience with cloud-based data services and database migration activities.
• Experience supporting reporting or analytics use cases in addition to core data movement.
• Exposure to financial, federal, or other highly regulated data environments.
• Candidates local to the St. Louis Metro East market/within commuting distance preferred, although not required.
