SAP BODS Sr. Consultant

Responsibilities

• Understand and translate functional requirements and inputs from functional/process teams into technical design.
• Deliver development documentation, BODS extraction, transformation, and loading jobs.
• Provide support to process/functional teams during unit testing cycles and data cutover cycles.
• Create and execute programs for extraction, transformation, and loading of legacy data.
• Handle simple to medium‑complex data extractions, transformations, and loading techniques.
• Understand end‑to‑end data migration processes, tools, and load approaches (IDocs, BAPI, RFC, LSMW).
• Quickly assess technical requirement changes and provide instant solutions.
• Manage and resolve data conversion issues during loading in collaboration with functional teams.
• Maintain standards and documentation for all developed programs.
• Work in a team environment, meet client‑established deadlines with minimal direction, and keep the team lead informed of daily status.

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• 4 to 11 years of BODS experience.
• Excellent knowledge of BODS (ETL).
• Experience in developing data migration jobs (ETL) with source or target as SAP.
• 6+ years of thorough knowledge of ETL and conversion objects.
• Exposure to data migration process and tools.
• Should have knowledge of SQL queries.
• Understanding of SDLC.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product.
• Ability to build and sustain professional relationships.
• Ability to lead projects or work streams.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.

• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available (if applicable).
• Preferred:
  Worked on 2–3 implementation projects as part of a data migration team.
• Preferred:
  Experienced in end‑to‑end data migration (ETL) projects with SAP ERP involving BODS 4.0/4.1/4.2.
• Preferred:
  Direct knowledge of the clinical or business area to be supported.
