Senior DevOps Engineer

The Leidos Spatial Solutions Division has an exciting opportunity for a senior Dev Ops Engineer to assist with the development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of mission critical systems that enable NGA's Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) mission collecting sciences, technology and tradecraft measuring and modeling the Globe to provide three-dimensional accuracy of every point in, on, or above the Earth.

Work onsite from Alexandria, Chantilly, Gaithersburg, or St. Louis, while enjoying up to half-time telework to keep your week balanced and productive.

• The primary duties will be to support the deployment of microservices via a Dev Sec Ops  pipeline within a Linux-based multi‑tenant environment.
• Extensive experience designing, implementing, and securing virtual networks within AWS.
• Experience implementing VPC network connectivity.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving VPC connectivity issues.
• Develop, update, and maintain Git Lab CI/CD pipeline code.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and deploy Docker containers.
• Review code within Git and extract/create engineering documentation as needed.
• Support Developer deployments.
• Provide technical guidance for all capabilities/microservices.
• Support Developer testing in the environment.
• Create and maintain Dev Ops documentation.
• Conduct security remediation as needed from scans.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Typically requires a BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related discipline and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or a Master’s with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
  , and ability to obtain a Polygraph after hire.

• Proactive self‑starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of custom code development/reviews.
• Experience with GITLAB functionality, error codes and scripting.
• Experience using AWS services/technologies (e.g., Cloud Formation, S3, ECS, EKS).
• Experience with AWS Serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, load balancing, autoscaling).
• Experience supporting development testing.
• Experience with cloud‑based architectures.
• Understanding of Dev Sec Ops  methodologies and workflow.
• Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of SW Development and SW Sustainment Practices.
• Team Collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence).

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Experience with Git Lab CI/CD.
• Experience with AWS Lambda and AWS ECS.
• Experience with troubleshooting, configuring, and deploying Docker containers.
• AWS certification (e.g., Dev Ops Engineer, Solutions Architect).
• Linux certifications.
• Experience with ArcGIS or geospatial technologies.
