DevOps Engineer Senior, Team Lead

Dev Ops Team Lead – Lead a team that builds, deploys, and maintains highly available, secure, and compliant Open Shift-based cloud solutions for a critical intelligence customer in St. Louis, MO.

• Lead the implementation of resilient cloud architecture, lifecycle management, automation strategies, and proactive monitoring to meet stringent performance, compliance, and security requirements.
• Supervise Dev Ops staff in sustaining, maintaining, and supporting customer systems across multiple security enclaves.
• Investigate and resolve system discrepancies, customer issues, and other maintenance activities.
• Coordinate software problem analysis, modification testing, system and security administration.
• Document operations, sustainment, and support activities (SLAs, SOPs, manuals).
• Build and harden system images from code delivered by development teams.
• Perform automated testing, security scans, and ensure all systems are security compliant.
• Author Helm charts and deploy systems to multiple Open Shift environments (Dev & Ops).
• Manage Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and PKI certifications, including NPEs.
• Design, implement, and monitor user and system metrics across all environments.
• Provide incident resolution and contribute code updates to existing repositories.
• Prepare reports, findings, and project progress for management and customers.

• TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph and Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or STEM field.
• 7+ years of experience leading system sustainment, administration, security, integration, and testing; 5+ years with DoD and ICD Cyber Security Requirements; 3+ years with cloud services.
• Security+ certification required; CISSP or CISM additional.
• Experience with Agile (SAFe), CI/CD pipelines (Git Lab, ArgoCD, etc.), Jira, and Service+.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Open Shift, containerization, monitoring & logging, network & security.
• Infrastructure as Code knowledge (Terraform, Cloud Formation, AWS CDK, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Comfortable with Python and Bash scripting.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and PKI management.
• Experience in geospatial information systems or application software sustainment preferred.
• Ability to research, design, develop, and modify enterprise‑wide cloud solutions.
