Position OverviewA highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst is needed to investigate incidents, manage alerts, and maintain security tools during a Friday‑Monday shift (11am‑10pm CST).
Responsibilities- Investigate cybersecurity incidents including business email compromises (BECs) and infections.
- Conduct daily reviews of cybersecurity escalations and reported phishing emails.
- Assess MDR and EDR/AV alerts and complete resulting action items.
- Participate in Incident Response protocols.
- Configure and analyze vulnerability assessments.
- Implement changes to firewalls and switches.
- Develop knowledge articles and standard operating procedures.
- Keep current on cybersecurity trends, technologies, and industry standards.
- One to three years of experience in a cybersecurity‑related position.
- Associate‑level experience with the following tools (preferred):
- Security Awareness Training (KnowBe4 preferred)
- Network Vulnerability Assessments
- AV/EDR (Sentinel One preferred)
- SIEM/MDR (Blackpoint MDR preferred)
- ZTNA/SASE (Timus preferred)
- Basic to intermediate troubleshooting of Windows OS and macOS.
- Basic troubleshooting of Windows Server, especially 2019 and newer.
- Basic to intermediate networking knowledge, including subnets, DNS, DHCP, firewall concepts, network security, VPN technologies, and routing/switching.
- At least one year of experience identifying risks, corresponding controls, gaps, and applicable testing strategies.
- At least one year of experience creating and implementing security controls.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with proven ability to present technical ideas in a user‑friendly, business‑friendly manner.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with technical documentation.
- CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent certifications.
- Intermediate knowledge of Windows Server 2019 and newer.
- Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, especially Microsoft Entra, Defender, Conditional Access, and Intune.
- An associate degree or higher in Networking and/or Cybersecurity.
