Data Scientist – Profile Overview
This is a data foundation‑heavy Data Scientist role with strong overlap into Data Engineering.
What the client is really looking for:
- Advanced SQL + Python (core requirement);
Joins, CTEs, window functions, analytical queries - Hands‑on with data quality, validation, and reconciliation
- Strong in backend data modeling, manipulation, and cleansing (owns data structure, grain, and reliability)
- Experience ensuring data is accurate and usable for downstream analytics/BI
- Solid traditional Machine Learning:
Feature engineering, model training, evaluation - Not a model‑only / AI‑heavy DS
- More focus on data foundations + analytics reliability
